The little rescue with a big heart
Our primary mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving, permanent homes for homeless dogs, specifically dogs in shelters at-risk of euthanasia and dogs whose owners can no longer care for them. We believe in compassionate rescue when the dog is enduring inhumane living conditions or likely to be deemed less adoptable due to age, health, emotional state, or breed. We ensure that all the dogs we take into our rescue, regardless of individual needs, are cared for with love and compassion for the duration of their lives.

Clark’s celebrating today’s suture removal by having us throw that satellite-dish-sized cone into the nearest burn pit. (🤫 Don’t tell him that there’s no such ecologically unfriendly pit. It’ll be in storage for the next unwitting victim.) Even better than vanquished sutures are biopsy results that decree Clark is in the clear. His lumps were of the lipoma (benign fatty mass) and the could-be-worse, very low grade mast cell variety. With clear margins in the bag, Clark is free to be carefree again. #k9kismetclark #sutureremoval #rescuedog #seniorpittie #rescuedogsofinstagram

Join us and #K9KismetAce on May 26, 2024 by signing up for an affordable oceanfront 5K, 10K, 10 miler, or half marathon. Love a bulk deal? Commit to THREE events at the same time to get a 15% discount. Ace doesn’t let spina bifida hold him back and wants to encourage you to get out there too! We can’t do the work we do without our supporters. Last year, High Tide Runs elected K9 Kismet Dog Rescue to be a featured charity for their events and we couldn’t be more grateful for the whopping $9,096 in 2023! A huge thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped us rehabilitate dogs who would’ve likely gone overlooked in the shelter system. This year, the honor is ours again❣️ When people sign up for a race, they’re introduced to K9 Kismet Dog Rescue and encouraged to donate to our cause. As a fully volunteer-run organization, every dollar goes directly to the dogs. There’s no donation too small. Adopt
By providing a forever home for a dog in rescue, you're helping to free up a foster home, which allows us to help another dog in need. The dogs in our care are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered (unless medically waived), microchipped, and receive regular wellness exams, preventative treatment, specialty care as needed. If you’re interested in meeting a K9 Kismet pack member, please fill out the adoption application to begin the process.
