The little rescue with a big heart

Our primary mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving, permanent homes for homeless dogs, specifically dogs in shelters at-risk of euthanasia and dogs whose owners can no longer care for them. We believe in compassionate rescue when the dog is enduring inhumane living conditions or likely to be deemed less adoptable due to age, health, emotional state, or breed. We ensure that all the dogs we take into our rescue, regardless of individual needs, are cared for with love and compassion for the duration of their lives.

💲🛟💲 We’re sending out an S.O.S.

As we near the end of the week, we’re asking you to help us put the “Yay” in FriYay by donating a dollar. In 2024 a buck doesn’t buy you much, but we’re hoping to get enough of them to put a dent in our medical bills this Week o’ Blue Bully Ear Infections (trademark pending 😅). First Levi, then Charlie, and now presumably Granny Parker, who’s bringing up the rear with an appointment this afternoon.

Please, please, pretty please send a 💲 this FriYAY via …

Princess Lula and Ivy have traveled two different paths to get where they are today, but their current situation is the same: They both find themselves in boarding until further notice. We would love to find them each a home, but we need your help during one of the roughest foster droughts in the history of rescue.

We hear it all the time, and—yes—it’s technically true: They’re “safe in rescue.” The dogs we swear an oath to aren’t in danger of being euthanized for space (as many dogs in the overcrowded municipal shelters are), but please stop to consider the standstill this puts us in. We cannot, in good conscience, offer a “freedom walk” to other long-stay shelter dogs or dogs in need of medical rehabilitation while two of our pack members sit in limbo. Not only do boarding bills drain our financial resources, which poses a threat to the rescue itself, but every day we can’t get these dogs back into a home environment is a day spent not fulfilling our promise to do right by them. As a foster-based rescue, we desperately need fosters so we can get back to doing the job we set out to do.

FACT: You don’t need to give up vacations to be a long term foster; we’ll always have you covered. FACT: You don’t need to financially support the dog in any way; we cover all expenses from vet visits all the way down to poop bags. Imagine all the perks of having a furry companion without the associated costs, plus a team who will be with you every step of the way. You won’t find a more supportive organization.

Princess Lula and Ivy are good dogs that deserve a home to call their own. Please apply to foster today. The din of crickets we hear when we ask for fosters is starting to haunt our dreams. 🦗😴😱

I’m commenting mostly to boost the algorithm but I wish I could foster either of them. I’m just beyond maxed out on dogs at the moment… 3 dogs total is my personal max. I can handle 4 but it’s pushing my limits….and I currently have 5 😬(2 Fosters, 2 I picked up off the street and trying to find homes for, and 1 of my own). I’ll share this, though, in the hopes that someone out there could take a foster pup.

K9 Kismet is a wonderful dog rescue. They need fosters, that is how ALL rescue orgs. operate. Funding as well. If you want to be part of the solution, contact Nici, she is a very caring person who founded this group.

Here’s Charlie catching a wave, but what he really wants to catch is the attention of an adopter. After spending well over a year in the shelter system, Charlie is excited to make up for lost time. If you’re looking for your next furry family member, wave in this adorable surfer.
